Get hands-on, creative, and inspired! Our workshops offer something for everyone — from storytelling and photography to language, culture, and crafts. Come join in, learn something new, and connect with others.
Slow down and see the world differently at this mindful photography session for women in York. Join us at York Explore at 10:30am to connect with others, discover new perspectives, and learn how mindfulness and photography come together. Bring a camera or smartphone, take a mindful moment for yourself, and enjoy the festival atmosphere afterwards.

GeneraTe is a peer-led charity in York offering therapy-based support, social spaces, and community for transgender, non-binary, gender questioning, and gender diverse people across North Yorkshire.

Venue Accessibility
The festival takes place at York Explore Library and Archive, which has step-free access, lifts to all floors, accessible toilets, and other facilities to help you move around comfortably.
Translation and Interpretation
We are pleased to offer support in a range of languages where possible. Many of our staff, volunteers and community partners speak different languages and can help with translation of key information during the festival.
On-the-Day Assistance
If you need any help during your visit, please go to the Information Desk inside the library. Our friendly team will be happy to assist you, answer questions or help you find what you need.
Quiet Space
The library has calm areas where visitors can take a break if they prefer a quieter environment during the festival.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the library and festival site.
